EVERY MAN, WOMAN AND CHILD ON GUAM DESERVES ACCESS TO HIGH QUALITY HEALTHCARE.

No one should ever have to decide which of their prescriptions that they aren't going to fill or whether to take their child to the hospital because they can't afford the deductible. These are not hypothetical's or people without insurance, nor are they a small minority of our population. This is a rapidly expanding portion (the majority?) of our population that is growing every day. While the problems are worse on Guam than they are elsewhere in our nation, we are not alone. Medical care is the number one cause of Bankruptcy in the United States. Knowing this we can fix it.

UNIVERSAL HEALTH INSURANCE

Families in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Canada and most of Europe have universal healthcare and our families can too. Currently, the Guam’s medically indigent plan is better than most of our residents Health insurance! If we invested the money we currently spend on Healthcare for active employees and retirees, MIP, Public Health, and the subsidies that we pay for GMH to cover the 76% of people that currently don’t pay when they go to the hospital, into a single not for profit health plan we could give every active and retired public servant as well as every uninsured person on Guam. Eventually we will expand this program so that every person on Guam has access to this universal health plan.
