RECTOR’S HAPPINESS, LOVE AND BRAIN GROWTH LOG: 5/11/20
DID YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT???
Progress reports have been submitted and grades are up to date in your Google Classroom. Make sure you check them because I am not perfect and do make mistakes. If you didn’t get the grade you want for the semester you still have time. Start doing the Desmos assignments in your Google classroom. Want extra work in order to take advantage of this unique opportunity? Send me a message and we can work something out.
HAPPY FACE OR FROWNY FACE: TRANSFORMING PARABOLAS
This week’s Desmos activities are all about our favorite function: The Quadratic. Move them, change them, flip them and match them. We have spent more time with quadratic functions than anything this year. This week’s activities should be fun and yet challenging so give it your best shot and get the grade you want.
FAMILY
I believe that there can be something positive to come out of every bad situation, including this plaque. One of the good things for me is that I have gotten to spend some quality time with my family and loved ones. In our “normal” crazy realities it is very easy to get caught up in the day to day drama of our lives and not pay a lot of attention to those that love us the most, our families and this time has really helped me to slow down and strengthen those bonds. Of course families aren’t just the people related to us genetically. We all make our own family in our own ways and I want you all to remember that each and everyone of you will always have a place in my family. Believe it or not, some of my closest friends are former students that now have their own children and live all over the world. The bonds we established during this school year will always be a unique part of our lives and I want to thank each and everyone of you for being a part of it.
